Welcome to the 52nd Annual Illinois State AFG Convention!

The Southern IL Al-Anon Family Groups warmly invite you to a weekend of serenity, connection, and recovery. The 2026 convention committees have been working thoughtfully to create a welcoming and uplifting experience for all who attend. Throughout the weekend, you will hear inspirational speakers from near and far and participate in hourly meetings on a variety of topics that support healing and growth. As we often remind ourselves, “Serenity is found when we focus on progress, not perfection.” Together, we will share our experience, strength and hope as we continue our journeys of recovery.

This year, we proudly join the World Service Office in celebrating 75 Years: One Purpose, a theme honoring the shared purpose that unites us: recovery. The Illinois State AFG Convention welcomes Al-Anon, AA, and Alateen members to a meaningful weekend of fellowship, with opportunities for spakers and members to share their experience, strength, and hope. Whether you are new to Al-Anon or AA, or have been walking this path for many years, you are in the right place. Together, we will with deepen recovery, renew connections, and find encouragement through shared participation and support.
